Description: Made in France in the early 1920's this sculpture reflect the democratic desire of that time to produce affordable art . It is metal instead of bronze but the quality of design is here .It is cast from the original as the detailing show , you can feel and see the artist touch . The casting is very fine with original patina coloring .The subject of a hunter with an animal was very popular back then and can be found in the work of many artist of this era. It symbolizes a desire for simple truth in that difficult and tumultuous time . This one one is signed Brault , which is signature found on early 20th sculpture from France. . The statue is 2 tone , it was cleaned but I left the patina.
