Description: Made in the 1920's this piece has a distinctive early art deco touch with his some left over art nouveau elegant style. Those were in use on desk as reading lam or just for decoration. Thinks were still manufactured by local factory with a lot of hand tooling as the different part clearly show .The metal globe is original .I bought it in France so it is guaranty to be an original French art deco piece of the art deco movement. The base and body is ebonized wood ,
