Work Date/Period: 20th century Description: Lovely mixed media oil painting of a woman in victorian dress standing on the sand dunes at the beach, looking out at the horizon. The colors are gorgeous in this painting and it conveys a wonderful peaceful feeling when you look at it. It does not appear to be signed, but is very well done. The painting has a tromp'loeil element to it and is painted in oil over newspaper print that you can see in some areas through the paint. Very interesting techniques and aesthetically pleasing.
