Title: Untitled
Artist: Elliott Lloyd
Country: USA
Work Date/Period: 1976

Description: Lloyd's work is about movement, depth, and spontaneous action. He is able to simultaneously portray both the pure and the muddled, and successfully manipulates shapes and colors to overlap one another transparently. Lloyd believes his work is “often best when colors are soft, the process transparent, and when nothing appears to need covering-up.” The artist's work is included in the Whitney Museum and he continues to paint today and lives in Long Island City.
